Carved Entryway for Cottage and Clinic

Entry built to match stacked wall cottage.  Curved timber work and rope carved bracing taken from old European designs.  Underground vet clinic inspired by Holmenkollen Hotel in Olso, Norway.

Entryway

Posts quarter sawn white oak from standing dead trees. Curved tie beam shaped from 7×19 inch timber.

Reclaimed Lumber Entryway

28′ wide entry using reclaimed fir from Wisconsin feed mill.

Accents

Exterior entry and brackets of white oak. Interior non-structural posts and beams are new douglas fir.

Japanese garden entrance and moon view pavilion with unique plank roof design. St. Paul, MN.
